Controller

ARTGENCE INC. is the data controller. Contact: fineart@artgence.fr.

What we collect and why

  • Purchases — name, email, billing and delivery address, phone, country, and order details. Basis: performance of the contract (art. 6(1)(b)). Retained 10 years for accounting obligations.
  • Payments — handled by Stripe. We never receive or store your card details. We retain a payment reference for reconciliation and refunds.
  • Enquiries and messages — name, email and message content. Basis: our legitimate interest in responding (art. 6(1)(f)). Retained 3 years from last contact.
  • Newsletter — email, plus a record of your consent, its exact wording and the language you read it in. Basis: your consent (art. 6(1)(a)). Retained until you unsubscribe.
  • Account — email and name where you create one. Basis: contract.
  • Page views — aggregate view counts on works, plus country and referral source. Basis: legitimate interest in understanding which works draw interest. Not used to build individual profiles.

Who we share it with

Stripe (payment processing), our hosting provider Base44 Ltd., our email delivery provider, and the carrier handling your delivery. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Transfers outside the EEA

Some providers process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

Your rights

You may request access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Write to fineart@artgence.fr.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in France, the CNIL (cnil.fr).

Cookies

We use only the cookies strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to complete a purchase, together with a single local preference storing the language you chose to read the site in. These do not require consent. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first.

This page is also published in French. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails for consumers resident in France.
