About this work

A layered canvas work that began as an acrylic painting and grew into a textured collage of reclaimed textiles, ex-voto objects, old-stock fabric, and recovered aluminum. The title — 'Prize of Life' — speaks to the value found in what was once discarded.

Sustainability story

This work began as an acrylic painting on canvas, then layered with collage, reclaimed textiles, ex-voto objects, old-stock fabric, and recovered aluminum objects. Each material carries its own history — devotional objects from forgotten shrines, fabric from forgotten stockrooms — given new life in a composition about the prize of life itself.
